A 65-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with several sex-related offences in connection with incidents dating back five decades.

Les Francis Patrois was charged Wednesday with two counts of sexual interference, two counts of invitation to sexual touching, five counts of unlawfully engaging in intercourse, two counts of indecent assault on a female, two counts of gross indecency, one count of sexual assault, and one count of abduction.

Ottawa police say the incidents occurred between 1961 to 2009, and involved two victims, a male and female.

Ottawa police believe there might be more victims, and say Patrois is known to frequent 31 Miles Lake in Quebec.

In September, police also announced several sex-related charges against Patrois in connection with incidents that took place between 1975 to 1986.

Patrois, who wore glasses and has thinning hair, was released Thursday on a total of $150,000 bond posted by him and two sureties, including his wife. He’s under conditions including not being alone with children under 16 and avoiding parks, pools, schools and other places kids can be found.

His next court date is Aug. 22. He’s scheduled to stand trial on previous charges in November.

The evidence heard at his bail hearing is covered by a routine publication ban.
