Woman dead Grenville was murdered: police

An autopsy performed on the body of a woman found Friday evening in an isolated and wooded area of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge in the Laurentians identified the victim and confirmed that she was murdered.

Marielle Portelance, 30, from Hawksbury, Ont. was found on a road near Cook Lake.

Her death happened recently, according to Sûreté du Québec, but the circumstances are still unknown.

No suspects have been arrested and the SQ is asking the public to call in any information to the crime hotline 1 800 659-4264.
